The concepts of automation and autonomy are by no means new to the IT industry but attempts to bring them to the database and data management sectors accelerated in 2018, in part thanks to the fanfare that surrounded the launch of Oracle’s Autonomous Database. As we move ahead and push to incorporate database automation into IT initiatives such as DevOps, test automation and container orchestration is also gaining momentum.
Since there are multiple ways automation can be applied to database and data management workloads it’s no surprise there is potential for confusion when trying to figure out how this all fits into a larger IT automation strategy.
Learn what you should know about automation, autonomy and the database in this recorded webinar.
